Subscribing to Offers

How do I subscribe to newsletters, services, and other offers on Mailshell?

You can access the Mailshell directory by clicking the "Special Offers" link at the top of any page.

To subscribe, check the boxes next to the names of the items you wish to subscribe to. When you're done, go to the bottom of the page and click the "subscribe selected" button. You will then see a listing of the offers you have requested and a brief status message indicating whether the request has been submitted or if additional information is required. If additional information is required, you will need to fill out the forms below to complete those subscriptions. (Using subscription profiles can make this process quick and easy.)

If you have requested a magazine subscriptions, you will need to provide payment information. Your credit card will be billed directly by the publisher.

Please note: If any of your subscriptions require profile information (information requested by the author), you will see the "Subscription Form" page. On this page, enter the necessary information needed to complete each subscription. When you're done, click the "Subscribe Now" button.

Why do I have to give more information when subscribing to some offers?

Because Mailshell doesn't host or publish any of the offers in the directory except for our own Mailshell newsletters, we have no control over how much additional information other authors require to accept your subscription. Different companies want different information from their subscribers such as first and last name, address, birth date, gender, and so on; print subscriptions, naturally, require a valid mailing address. Your email address will always be protected when subscribing through Mailshell, but if you don't feel comfortable giving out additional information, you can choose not to subscribe to those offers.

How do I subscribe to newsletters, services, and other offers not listed on Mailshell?

To sign up for subscriptions that are not listed on Mailshell, you can use your personal email domain to create customized email addresses to use instead of your primary email address.

For example, if you create the personal email domain "jane.mailshell.com," you can use it to create as many unique email addresses as you like. Tell your family to email you at family@jane.mailshell.com. If you shop at Amazon, use amazon@jane.mailshell.com when asked to submit your email address. Mailshell will create a unique folder for each customized email address and route all mail to that folder within your My Mailshell page.

What's more, you don't need to go back to Mailshell each time you want to create a customized email address because any email sent to your personal email domain will be delivered to your Mailshell account, where you can then approve or discard that email address. If you approve it, a new folder will be created for mail sent to that address. If you discard it, mail sent to that address will be blocked.

If you have found a good offer that you think should be listed on Mailshell, you can also make a suggestion for our directory.

How do I unsubscribe from a newsletter, service, or other offer?

If you wish to unsubscribe from an offer, you can do so by changing the delivery setting. From the "Manage Domain" section of My Mailshell, use the drop-down menu in the "Deliver To" column to select "[DELETE]," then click the "Save Settings" button. The address used for that offer will be deleted and you will no longer receive messages.

Another way to unsubscribe is by using the appended Mailshell link in any email you receive from that offer. This link will take you to the corresponding address in My Mailshell, where you can use the radio buttons on the right side to unsubscribe.
