Managing Folders

How do I create a new folder?

There are two ways you can create a new folder:

  • Click "Folders" on the light blue navigation menu. Under "Create a Folder," enter the name of the folder you would like to create, then click the "Create Folder" button.


  • Select "[NEW FOLDER]" from any of the various delivery settings throughout the site that offer that option. When prompted, enter the name of your new folder and click the "Create Folder" button; the new folder will be added to your list and automatically selected for the delivery setting you used.

How do I rename a folder?

To rename a folder, click "Folders" on the light blue navigation menu. Use the checkboxes on the left side to select the folder you would like to rename, then click the "Rename" button. When you are prompted, enter the new name and click the "Rename Folder" button.

Please note: You can only rename one folder at a time. If you select more than one and click the "Rename" button, you will only be prompted to rename the folder listed highest in your list.

How can I empty all the messages in a folder?

If you would like to delete all the messages in a folder, click "Folders"on the light blue navigation menu. Use the checkboxes on the left side to select the folder(s) you would like to empty, then click the "Empty" button.

Because you cannot delete a folder unless it is empty, this option is particularly useful when you wish to delete a folder that has a substantial number of messages in it.

How do I sort my folders?

Click "Folders"on the light blue navigation menu. You can sort your messages by name, total number of messages, number of unread messages, or amount of storage space used. To do this, click the appropriate column header. Click the header again to reverse the direction of the sort.

You can also change your default folder sort by using the Display Options.

How do I delete a folder?

If you would like to delete a folder, click "Folders"on the light blue navigation menu. Use the checkboxes on the left side to select the folder(s) you would like to delete, then click the "Remove" button.

Please note: You can only delete a folder that has no messages in it; if the folder has messages in it and you would like to delete it, you can first empty it. Once you have deleted a folder, any email addresses currently delivering to the deleted folder will default to your Inbox.
